No one narrative can tell the story of who we all are. From our triumphs to the mundanity of everyday living, from how we laugh to how we hurt, from how we struggle with dreams deferred to ways we can embody our dreams completely — there may not be enough books to read in the world that captures who we are, but we can try. 

I curated the Lit Lounge to spark continued exploration about these topics with a rotating list of titles authored by people of color who are devoted to telling the stories of our lives - lived or imagined.
